CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
At Graystone Presbyterian, our ministry to kids from infancy to grade 5 is built around creating spaces where kids can be safe, have fun, and be loved by adult leaders and their peers as they hear about Jesus in words for their stage of life.
Ways for kids to get involved
Kids are a part of the life of the church and we love to see kids get plugged in in all aspects of Following Jesus and Welcoming People at Graystone. We also want kids to have meaningful time that speaks to where they are in life in each stage so they can grow deeper in their knowledge and love of God.
DURING WORSHIP SERVICES FOR KIDS 4 AND YOUNGER
Our staffed nursery is open during worship services for children age 4 and under and you are welcome to keep your children in worship as long as you would like and bring them down to take part in our nursery where they will get to play with other little children and be loved by helpers from our church family. You can check them in downstairs in the Teal room when you come down to drop them off.
9:45AM FOR KIDS PREK - 5TH GRADE
Sunday School hour is a time when we have wonderful Sunday School teachers preparing lessons and activities in spaces that are designed for kids to play and hear the big story about God's love in words just right for their age.
• Kids in PreK and going in to Kindergarten check in to the Purple Room and do activities just right for kids who are still getting used to the idea of a classroom setting.
• Kids going in to 1st - 2nd are checked-in to Green Room and have time to play and learn with kids who have eager imaginations and lots of energy.
• Kids going in to 3rd-5th grade are checked-in to the Blue Room and have time to hang out with other kids, process God's Word, and play games that are just right for upper elementary aged kids.
DURING 11AM SERVICE FOR KIDS PREK & ELEMENTARY
We know how valuable it is for kids to be a part of the worship service with the whole church and that's why we encourage families to worship all together. We also believe it is vitally important that kids hear God's Word in a way they can understand. So during our 11am service, right before the sermon time, we invite all kids PreK - 5th grade to head downstairs to the Kids Space for a time with adult leaders where they get to play games, sing songs, have a snack, and hear stories from God's Word in language they can understand best. Parents can pick kids up after service from the Green Room downstairs. Come check out Kids Jam some time!
