---God First, Others Second, I'm Third---

Mission: “Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52

Summer’s Best Two Weeks provides children with a variety and rich assortment of activities which will help them grow spiritually, emotionally and physically. Each day is a fun-filled smorgasbord of experience including: Bible, swimming, singing, crafts, sports, nature study, service projects and many others. It is the camp’s purpose to build an atmosphere where Bible teachings permeate the entire pattern of living. In these two weeks, it is our hope that each camper will be given the opportunity to experience the reality of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Campers are encouraged to live out our motto “I’m Third”: God First, Others Second, I’m Third.

We believe that the church exists to glorify God and that we are called to “go and make disciples”. SB2W has dedicated itself to the young people of the community to increase their wisdom, stature, and favor with God and people. It is our foremost desire to begin to build a Christian lifestyle in those God has entrusted to us. As stated in Matthew 5:1 “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven”. It is an awesome task to which we are called.

We are limited to 175 campers so be sure to register as soon as possible to ensure you reserve your space for this amazing week of fun, competition, and learning about God.

  • Enrollment Policy

In an effort to honor the long standing history and mission of Summer’s Best Two Weeks, the following policy is designed to ensure that everyone, whether they are a Graystone member or not will have equal opportunity to participate.

    • Enrollment is done on a first come first served basis. As registration forms arrive in the office, both the date and the time of their arrival are recorded on the form.
    • Camp registration is mailed to members of the church and the community at the same time. Enrollment in camp from previous years does not give you priority in the enrollment process.
    • Camp registration forms will not be available in the church office until two business days after the initial camp mailing.
    • In order to be enrolled, the entire registration form and the YMCA waiver must be completed. The forms must be accompanied by the deposit fee or arrangements for a scholarship must have been made.
    • Faxed or emailed forms must be accompanied by the deposit and an original copy of the registration form must be mailed within two weeks of the faxed or emailed copy.
  • Enrollment Procedure

Your day camper will be assigned to a squad using the following formula:

    1. There are two lists of campers: a list of girls and a list of boys.
    2. Each list is then ordered by grade.
    3. After they are listed by grade, campers are listed in order of birth date.
    4. Finally, in the order that has been determined by these criteria, the names are grouped into 5 girl’s squads and 5 boy’s squads.

It is helpful to remember that:

    1. There are 6 years (grades 3-8) that a camper can attend, but there are only 5 squads. So, squads do not neatly divide by grade level. If a camper attends for 6 years, they will repeat the same squad one time. However, they could possibly repeat a squad more than once.
    2. Final squad configuration is dependent upon enrollment. We enroll on a first come first serve basis. We do not limit the number of campers that we enroll per grade level.
    3. Your child is not with their squad for the entire day. We have other activities (ex: swimming and competition) that encourage them to interact with other campers in addition to the campers in their own squad. Since there are so many variables, please do not assume or indicate to your child that they will be assigned to a particular squad.
