Summer’s Best Two Weeks provides kids and youth (starting Kindergarten - 8th grade) with amazing activities which will help them grow spiritually, emotionally and physically. Each day is a fun-filled adventure of experiences including: Bible lessons, swimming, singing, crafts, sports, nature study, service projects and many others. We hope to build an atmosphere where Bible teachings permeate the entire pattern of living and where all that we do is seen as worship.

In these two weeks, it is our hope that each camper will be given the opportunity to experience the reality of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to embody our motto “God First, Others Second, I’m Third."

We are limited to 175 campers so be sure to register as soon as possible to ensure you reserve your space for this amazing week of fun, competition, and learning about God.

Day camp provides a mix of daily activities that include a Bible lesson, sports, service opportunities, crafts and other fun filled opportunities.  Each part of their day is designed to point them to Jesus and allow them to experience what following Him is all about.

Location: The camp’s home base is located at Graystone Church in Indiana, PA. Most of our daily activities take place 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the YMCA and Mack Park. We also have activities that take us to Yellow Creek State Park and New Horizons Retreat Center.

Enrollment: Day Camp is limited to sixty boys and sixty girls. Early registration is highly recommended.

Counselors: Our counselors are college students who have been interviewed and trained. Each one serves as an example of a dedicated Christian lifestyle. They are assisted by senior high students that have been trained in every phase of our ministry.

Teams: Each camper is assigned to a team, either Romans or Galatians. Throughout the two weeks there are competitions between the teams as well as opportunities to develop skills in a variety of areas. All campers are encouraged to do their best for the Lord, their team and themselves regardless of their abilities.

Cost: The cost for the two weeks is $160.00. A deposit of $80.00 must be paid along with registration. The balance is due before April 30. If you have financial concerns, please do not hesitate to give us a call. The cost includes all Bible study materials, a camp t-shirt, craft items, meals on the overnight trip, insurance, use of facilities, transportation and swimming lessons.

Cancellation Policy: The $80.00 deposit is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another camper. After April 30, no refunds will be made for cancellations.

  • SB2W STAFF OPPORTUNITIES

Join us and allow God to use you to eternally impact the hearts and minds of children and youth in our community.  We have opportunities for youth and adults to serve in a variety of capacities and levels of commitment.

  • Enrollment Procedure

Your day camper will be assigned to a squad using the following formula:

    1. There are two lists of campers: a list of girls and a list of boys.
    2. Each list is then ordered by grade.
    3. After they are listed by grade, campers are listed in order of birth date.
    4. Finally, in the order that has been determined by these criteria, the names are grouped into 5 girl’s squads and 5 boy’s squads.

It is helpful to remember that:

    1. There are 6 years (grades 3-8) that a camper can attend, but there are only 5 squads. So, squads do not neatly divide by grade level. If a camper attends for 6 years, they will repeat the same squad one time. However, they could possibly repeat a squad more than once.
    2. Final squad configuration is dependent upon enrollment. We enroll on a first come first serve basis. We do not limit the number of campers that we enroll per grade level.
    3. Your child is not with their squad for the entire day. We have other activities (ex: swimming and competition) that encourage them to interact with other campers in addition to the campers in their own squad. Since there are so many variables, please do not assume or indicate to your child that they will be assigned to a particular squad.
  • Enrollment Policy

In an effort to honor the long standing history and mission of Summer’s Best Two Weeks, the following policy is designed to ensure that everyone, whether they are a Graystone member or not will have equal opportunity to participate.

    • Enrollment is done on a first come first served basis. Our online registration this year time stamps each forms completion an enrollment opens for all members of the community equally.
    • Enrollment in camp from previous years does not give you priority in the enrollment process.
    • When your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. You will need to either pay the deposit or the full cost of camp in order to be registered. After your registration form is complete, you will also need to complete a paper copy of the YMCA Waiver and either mail or deliver it to the church offices (at 640 Church St, Indiana, PA 15701). This will need to be completed before April 30 (along with paying any remaining balance) or your spot may be given to someone on the wait list.
